Se trata de un producto innovador que hace que las plantas activen una serie de respuestas fisiológicas destinadas a conseguir la inmunidad de las plantas. Ayuda a la síntesis de los genes implicados en la producción de fibra para el fortalecimiento de las paredes celulares, de esta manera se va confinando al oídio limitando su crecimiento.
Por otro lado, Fitosave promueve la fabricación de proteínas específicas que intervienen en el funcionamiento de su sistema inmunitario, haciendo que las plantas se vuelvan autoinmunes al contagio por oídio. Además, otro tipo de proteínas, como las fitoalexinas, confieren resistencia y protección antimicrobiana.
