Cum laude es fruto de una triple hibridación entre plantas con alto componente sativo. Desde su nacimiento, crecerá a una velocidad asombrosa con un perfecto patrón en forma de típico abeto. Las podas en crecimiento cambiarán el patrón a forma de candelabro (más discreta y desapercibida). Y es por ello que se aconseja disminuir al máximo el periodo vegetativo. Los cogollos recuerdan a gruesas y esponjosas espigas de trigo extremadamente peludas y por supuesto, cubiertas de una capa de tricomas sumamente oleaginosa.
En periodo vegetativo, la planta desprende un olor anisado con notas de lavanda. Se advierte ya de un aroma complejo y especial que ira modificándose y adquiriendo olores mucho más profundos y complejos con reminiscencias de café, y especias exóticas.
El sabor es u punto fuerte: dura y perdura en el paladar debido a su alto contenido en terpenos y terpenoides (pinonello, limonello y mandarino) si no te gusta este sabor podríamos afirmar que no te gustan las sativas. Percibimos notas fuertes a tierra y turbas del bosque con sensaciones picantes en paladar.
