El medidor Rapitest es la herramienta más sencilla para controlar la humedad el Ph y la iluminación. Es un instrumento analógico que funciona, sin pilas, con solo introducir la sonda en el sustrato.
Dependiendo del valor que se quiera medir, se selecciona este en la parte frontal. Moist para humedad, light para la iluminación y Ph para el valor de acidez del sustrato.
Seleccionada función moist, si el indicador está en la zona roja significa que el sustrato está seco. En la zona verde, el sustrato está en las condiciones de humedad óptimas. La zona azul indica que el sustrato está demasiado húmedo para la mayorÃa de plantas excepto para las acuáticas.
Para medir la cantidad de luz selecciona light y observa el indicador. Si queda en la posición dark, significa que la planta está recibiendo poca luz. Entre mil y dos mil lumens, el indicador se encuentra en la zona light y significa que la planta está recibiendo una cantidad de luz adecuada.
Para medir la acidez del suelo, se selecciona Ph. Teniendo en cuenta que el valor de Ph neutro es 7,la aguja deberÃa indicar valores entre 6 y 8. Si la aguja marca menos de 5 el medio es ácido.
Es importante no dejar el Rapitest sobre el terreno, sino retirarlo del mismo para limpiar las sondas con un paño húmedo después de cada uso y guardarlo en un lugar protegido del sol hasta volver a usarlo.
