Bubblegum Original
La Bubblegum XL procede de la cepa original famosa a nivel internacional y que lleva el mismo nombre. La variedad Bubblegum surgió inicialmente en Indiana, aunque algunos de sus fenotipos se perfeccionaron luego en Nueva Inglaterra y Holanda, la capital europea del cannabis. El fenotipo holandés (desarrollado por TH Seeds) empezó a cirucular y llevó el nombre Bubblegum a la fama entre los consumidores de marihuana de todo el mundo. Esta cepa dulce y aromática siguió aumentando su reputación, ganando premios en las High Times Cannabis Cup y la Spanabis Champions Cup en 2005.
Las semillas de cannabis Bubblegum presentan un perfil genético perfectamente equilibrado con un 50% índica y un 50% sativa. Su ciego agradable (gracias a modestos niveles de THC del 19%) calma el cuerpo mientras estimula la mente.
Una planta ancha y dulce
Esta planta puede producir fácilmente unos 500 gramos por metro cuadrado cuando se cultiva en interiores; no es una gran producción pero la calidad hace que merezca la pena. En exteriores, todo depende del clima; las cepas hybride-cannabis como ésta se pueden cultivar en la mayoría de países en la época adecuada. Sin embargo, debe prestarse más atención para evitar problemas con el moho y la podredumbre en climas más húmedos. No es una planta demasiado alta y no se extiende tanto como las cepas de holandés, quedando pequeña y manipulable.

La Bubblegum XL tiene un aroma más dulce que la mayoría de cepas Amsterdam y su sabor es dulce y terroso. La floración tarda de 8 a 9 semanas y produce unos densos buds cubiertos de resina.
